A Golden-Hued Celebration at Devil’s Dyke Farm


There are some weddings that seem to capture everything we love about the South Downs, wild beauty, incredible light, a sense of place and a little bit of magic. This styled shoot for The Wedding Index at Devils Dyke Farm was exactly that. I was able to explore my creativity in a new location for me while supporting local suppliers showcasing these gorgeous moments!


As a wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to settings that give a couple something beyond a beautiful backdrop, and this one delivered in abundance. With sweeping views across the South Downs and out towards the sea, the setting was already breathtaking. Then came the incredible styling by @cohire, transforming the space into a vibrant, golden celebration that felt both luxurious and effortlessly inviting.


Long, family-style dining tables created a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, encouraging guests to gather together, share stories and celebrate around one table. The warm golden tones brought so much vibrancy to the scene, complementing the natural landscape while giving the whole design a distinctly bohemian, contemporary feel.



Here, our bride and groom embraced an alternative bohemian aesthetic, proving that wedding style can be completely personal, expressive and beautifully unconventional. With the day overseen by @carrie_celebrates, every element came together to showcase something that was full of personality.


And, of course, the beauty details were every bit as considered. Stunning makeup by @alessiamancini_mua paired beautifully with bridal hair by @Adam__lawton_bridal, completing the look with an effortless elegance that worked perfectly against the wild, romantic surroundings.


From a photographer’s perspective, this was a dream to capture. Golden details, beautiful textures, an incredible landscape and a couple who completely embraced the vision, all coming together beneath that vast South Downs sky.


It’s a wonderful reminder that your wedding doesn’t have to follow a traditional formula. It can be bold, bohemian, vibrant and entirely your own.

And when you combine that with the views from @devilsdykefarm, you really don’t need much more.
