A Luxurious Styled Wedding Shoot at Bignor Park with The Wedding Index

There are some styled shoots where every element comes together so beautifully that you can immediately see the creative possibilities.

This was certainly one of them.

Set at the stunning Bignor Park near Pulborough, this shoot for The Wedding Index brought together an exceptional collection of suppliers, exquisite details and an incredible setting. The result was a celebration of modern luxury with a distinctly editorial feel.

And then there were Heloisa and Marco.

They were an absolute dream to photograph, bringing an effortless elegance to the images and allowing the styling, fashion and setting to take centre stage.

The gowns were stunning, complemented by exquisite cakes from @bluekitchencakes and beautiful florals by @tonytheflowerman, including my personal favourite, peonies. Every detail felt considered, luxurious and beautifully balanced.

Heloisa's beauty look by @rosebud_makeup and bridal hair by Sharon Roberts completed the look with an understated sophistication that worked perfectly with the overall aesthetic.

The details

The finer details were where this shoot really came into its own.

Aquarius Design Studio created bespoke newspapers for the day, adding an editorial, fashion-inspired element to the styling. Aurum Jewellers provided unique engagement rings and wedding bands, bringing another layer of craftsmanship and luxury to the imagery.

For me, the challenge was to incorporate all of these incredible elements into the photographs in a way that felt intentional rather than simply documenting what was there.

Bignor Park provided the perfect backdrop. Its architecture, gardens and sense of grandeur naturally lent themselves to a more refined aesthetic, but I wanted the imagery to retain warmth and romance alongside the luxury.

A chance to push the creative

Styled shoots give me the opportunity to approach photography differently from a real wedding day. There is time to experiment with composition, light, perspective and detail, creating imagery that feels considered and editorial while still telling a story.

This shoot particularly pushed me to think about how I could showcase each supplier's work while creating a cohesive visual narrative that felt worthy of Bignor Park.

The result is a collection of imagery that combines fashion, romance, fine details and the timeless elegance of one of Sussex's most beautiful wedding venues.
